Trees are the Ornaments of the Earth – Mr. Sanjay Sharma, AIG Traffic

Raipur (thestates.news)| Kalinga University, Naya Raipur, took a significant step towards environmental conservation by organizing a massive Tree Plantation Program in collaboration with the Police Training School, Mana, Raipur. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries

Agency (Road Safety) and SP Dr. I. R. Khan, Head – Police Training School, Mana, Raipur,
along with the Hon. Vice Chancellor, Hon. Registrar, Directors, and Deans from Kalinga
University’s various departments.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by 180 trainees along with their officials of the Police Training School. The program commenced with a ceremonial gathering at the Kalinga University auditorium, where the dignitaries addressed the attendees about the importance of afforestation and its impact on environmental preservation.
During his speech, Mr. Sanjay Sharma focused on updating the police force with the latest technology through the best education institute like Kalinga which will add to the skills of these trainees. The Guest of Honour Dr. Irfan Khan specified that today is the time to work as a Smart policing which will help in declining the crime level.
Following the inspiring speeches, the participants, led by the dignitaries, ventured to the
sprawling sports complex of Kalinga University, where they took up shovels and saplings
to make their contribution to a greener world and planted nearly 500 saplings. The sight
of 180 trainees planting saplings was awe-inspiring and demonstrated their
commitment to environmental sustainability.

The joint initiative by Kalinga University and Police Training School, Mana, Raipur,
exemplifies their commitment to fostering a culture of eco-conscious society and
creating a greener future for generations to come. Such collaborative efforts between
educational institutions and law enforcement organizations set an exemplary precedent for the entire community to follow.
Kalinga University, Naya Raipur, and the Police Training School, Mana, Raipur, have
taken a significant stride in strengthening their partnership by signing a Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU). This MoU aims to facilitate training sessions for the Police
Training School’s trainees conducted by senior resource persons from Kalinga
University.

The collaboration is an attempt to enhance the skill set and knowledge base of the
trainees by providing expert guidance and specialized training. As part of this initiative,
Kalinga University has assigned Dr. Asha Ambhaikar and Dr. Sanjana Singh, esteemed
senior resource persons from the university, to lead the training sessions at the Police
Training School.
Kalinga University extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and
volunteers for their active participation in making this tree plantation drive a resounding
