Unemployment Allowance Scheme Makes a Difference: Kanker youth lands a job in Hyderabad

Extends heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel for empowering unemployed youth of state

Raipur (thestates.news) |Aiming to tackle unemployment and support the educational aspirations of the needy youth, the state government, led by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, has launched the Unemployment Allowance Scheme. This initiative not only provides financial allowances to beneficiaries but also strives to connect them with employment opportunities both within and outside the state.

One inspiring story is of Ghururam Nishad, a youth hailing from Kanker district. Despite successfully completing his 12th grade in the science stream, he encountered financial barriers that hampered his ability to pursue higher education and adequately prepare for competitive exams. He resorted to odd jobs to sustain his studies.

During his virtual interaction with Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today, Ghururam stated that he was receiving an unemployment allowance. Recently, he received information about a placement camp organized by the district administration to connect beneficiaries of the unemployment allowance scheme with potential employers. Eager to explore new opportunities, Ghururam participated in the camp and got selected for a Hyderabad-based private company–Kapston Facilities Management Ltd. He will receive a monthly salary of Rs 14,000. He said that he will utilize his earnings to support his family and further his education. Ghururam also extended his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel for taking significant steps towards empowering the unemployed youth of the state.

It is worth mentioning that the 112 beneficiaries of the scheme hailing from the Kanker district have got placed thus far. Furthermore, a Mega Job Fair is scheduled to be held on July 18, with the goal of offering employment opportunities to 2,000 beneficiaries.
