Raipur (thestates.news) | Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Monday visited Amar Vatika in Jagdalpur and paid tribute to more than 1,000 security personnel who lost their lives in the fight against Maoism in Bastar.
Paying homage to the fallen personnel, Shri Shah said the sacrifices made by our jawans in restoring peace, security and development in Bastar will always be remembered. The sacrifice of the bravehearts who laid down their lives for the country will never go in vain, adding that both the Centre and State governments remain committed to establishing lasting peace, expanding development to the last mile and completely eliminating Maoism from the region.
