Representatives from Pharma, Real Estate, and IT Sectors Meet the Chief Minister
Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a state brimming with immense potential for industrial development and entrepreneurship. Rich in forest, mineral, and energy resources, the state is among the power-surplus regions, creating a highly conducive environment for setting up industries. The government is extending every possible support to investors and new entrepreneurs to boost economic growth and generate employment opportunities in the state.
Chief Minister made the aforementioned statements during a discussion with representatives from the pharmaceutical, real estate, and IT sectors at his residence office in the capital city Raipur. On the occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh, Secretary Dr. Basavaraju S., Shri P. Dayanand, Shri Rahul Bhagat, Industry Secretary Shri Rajat Kumar, and Managing Director Shri Vishwesh Jha were also present.
New Industrial Policy 2024-30 to Facilitate Business Establishment
In his address to the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the newly implemented Industrial Development Policy 2024-30 in Chhattisgarh has made the process of setting up industries more seamless and investor-friendly. The policy includes provisions for online applications and expedited processing, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the investment process. Additionally, the introduction of ‘Single Window 2.0’ has streamlined approvals, eliminating bureaucratic hurdles and enhancing ease of business operations.
New Industrial Parks to Boost Investment
Chief Minister further stated that the government is establishing new industrial parks to provide essential infrastructure and resources for businesses. These parks will create a robust ecosystem for emerging entrepreneurs, enabling them to scale their ventures effectively. This initiative is expected to not only increase the number of industrial units in the state but also generate significant employment opportunities.
Record Investment Proposals in Chhattisgarh; Focus on Semiconductor and AI Sectors
Shri Sai highlighted that since the launch of the new industrial policy, Chhattisgarh has received investment proposals worth Rs 1.23 lakh crore. The state is offering special incentives for sectors such as AI, IT, data centers, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and robotics. For the first time, proposals for semiconductor, data center, and AI-based industries have been received, marking a significant milestone in Chhattisgarh’s industrial transformation.
Positive Dialogue on Industrial Investment
During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai assured industry leaders that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to providing all the support required by the entrepreneurs. He emphasized that the state’s industrial policy is clear, transparent, and investor-friendly, offering comprehensive facilities for both domestic and international businesses. Inviting investors to explore opportunities in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister affirmed the government’s dedication to ensuring their success. The state’s new industrial initiatives are poised to drive economic progress and usher in a new era of innovation.
The event witnessed the participation of several prominent entrepreneurs and investors, including Mr. Gaurav Chauhan from Mankind Pharma, Mr. Vikas Khadolia (CEO, Embassy REIT), Ms Shraddha Sharma (Founder, YourStory), and Mr. Rohit Kashyap (Founder, MyTree School of Entrepreneurship).
