Raipur (thestates.news)| late Shri Vasudev Chandrakar’s goal of happy farmers in Chhattisgarh has come true. Chhattisgarh’s Annadata is overjoyed and is happy at the choice to purchase 20 quintals of paddy. This was stated by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel during his speech at the 53rd annual convention of Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj and Dau Vasudev Chandrakar Jayanti celebrations held at village Anda in Durg district on birth anniversary of Dau Vasudev Chandrakar. On this occasion, he announced a one-crore-rupee grant to the society for the construction of a community hall and a Swami Atmanand School in the village of Anda.

In the program, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Dau Vasudev Chandrakar, saying that he was a farmer leader. He was always a strong supporter for agricultural concerns. Dau Vasudev Chandrakar ji made the significant decision to buy paddy at the support price. His reasoning was also behind his decision to purchase paddy through the cooperative societies. Chhattisgarh now has over 2500 paddy procurement centers in operation. This time, we arranged for an online token. There was an adequate supply of gunny bags. The milling rate has also been raised. Paddy has been elevated in society in the month of March. There is no problem with being dry or wet. Several new rice mills have emerged in recent years, and more will open this year. People continuously urged that 20 quintals of paddy be purchased each acre, so this decision was made to accommodate the demands of our farmers. This year, 23.5 lakh farmers sold 107 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, up from 12 lakh farmers selling 60 lakh metric tonnes in 2017.
