CM Extends Janmashtami Greetings, Performs Symbolic Dahi-Handi Ritual
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the grand Janmashtami celebrations and Dahi-Handi competition held in the Gudhiyari area of Raipur on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Chief Minister Shri Sai extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Chhattisgarh and prayed to Lord Shri Krishna for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of all citizens.
On this occasion, CM Sai symbolically broke the Dahi-Handi, upholding the traditional ritual. He also lovingly offered sweets to little children dressed as Radha and Krishna, expressing affection and admiration for their devotion and cultural spirit.
In his address, CM Sai remarked that it is indeed a matter of great fortune that we reside in a sacred land like Chhattisgarh — the maternal home of Mata Kaushalya and the nanihal (maternal grandparents’ home) of Lord Shri Ram. He urged the gathering of devotees to make continuous efforts toward strengthening and enriching Sanatan culture.
