World is looking at India’s youth with hope: Modi

Chennai/New Delhi,( : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the whole world is looking at the youth of India with hope because they are the growth engine of the country and India is the growth engine of the world. The PM was addressing the 42nd Convocation Ceremony of Anna University after presenting gold medals and certificates to 69 gold medalists. Gratifying all the graduating students, he said that they must have already made a future for themselves in their minds. Therefore, today is not only a day of achievements but also aspirations.

At the event, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, Chief Minister MK Stalin, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan, University Vice Chancellor R Velaraji and other dignitaries were present at the event. Anna University, established on September 4, 1978, was named after the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C.N. Annadurai. The University includes 13 recognised colleges, 494 affiliated colleges spread across Tamil Nadu and 3 regional campuses—Tirunelveli, Madurai, and Coimbatore.
