Department of Culture will organise a three-day photo exhibition on ” Chhattisgarh Tribal Cultural Tradition: From Effort to Impact” from August 9 at Ghasidas Museum

Raipur (thestates.news) |A three-day photo exhibition will be held in commemoration of World Tribal Day which is observed on August 9. The event, themed “Chhattisgarh Tribal Cultural Tradition: From Effort to Impact,” is organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture. It will be organized from August 9 to August 11, 2023, at the Kalavithika Mahant Ghasidas Museum, Raipur, near Ghadi Chowk. The exhibition aims to educate the public about Chhattisgarh tribal life through photos and promote the preservation of their culture in its original form.

Officials of the Culture Department said that the photo exhibition will be inaugurated on August 9 at 6 p.m. by the Director of the Culture Department, Mr. Vivek Acharya, along with (Managing Director) C.S.P.T.C.L., Mrs. Ujjwala Baghel, Retired D.G. M. C.S.P.T.C.L., Mr. Harish Baghel, President Jindal Steel & Power Limited, Mr. Pradeep Tandon, Director Gracious Group of Colleges, Dr. Ashutosh Shukla, Regional Project Director of Nokia, Mr. Ashish Upadhyay, and Deputy Director of Archaeological Department, Mr. Pratap Parekh.

Renowned photographers from the city will showcase their work at a special event. They have captured the daily lives of various tribal communities in Chhattisgarh for several years and will share their photographs with the public. Sarvashri Dipendra Diwan, Akhilesh Bharos, Shishir Das, Dhaneshwar Sahu, and their team from Raipur will support the exhibition.
