Wearing mask in public places is mandatory for every citizen in the state
Several Important Decisions taken today at the High-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister
Raipur (thestates.news) At the high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today, several major decisions were taken regarding release of second installment under Rajiv Gandhi Kisaan Nyay Yojana on the occasion of Ex-Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna late Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary on 20th August, about commencement of admission process in schools and colleges, and about making it compulsory to wear masks for the prevention of corona infection.
All members of the Council of Ministers, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary and secretaries of other departments were present in the meeting.
Providing information about the decisions taken in the meeting, Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey and Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that on birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna late Shri Rajiv Gandhi on August 20, the second installment of Rajiv Gandhi Nyaya Yojna will be transferred into the account of 19 lakh farmers. They informed that decision has been taken to begin the process of admission in educational institutions, schools and colleges in the state in the month of July. According to the advisory of the Central Government, educational institutions can be opened in the month of August after proper consideration of circumstances at that time.
Minister Mr. Choubey and Mr. Akbar said that wearing mask has been made mandatory for every citizen to prevent corona infection. People found not wearing a mask at public place will be fined Rs 100. Compliance to the physical distancing protocol will be ensured. Gathering of people and organizing events and functions will remained restricted as before. Agriculture Minister informed that although economic activities have started in the state, collection of revenue could not be done. The amount of Rs. 1400 crore of previous year has not been received from the Central Government yet. The state government is constantly urging the Central Government for the due monthly share of taxes States are entitled for. In these circumstances, decision to curtail unnecessary government expenses has been taken.
In the meeting, steps taken to prevent corona infection, arrangements made at quarantine centers and isolation centers were also reviewed and discussed. More than 3 lakh migrant workers have returned from other states to Chhattisgarh and they were kept in quarantine centers. Despite the return of a large number of workers to their homes after completing quarantine period of 14 days to 28 days, there has been no major spread of corona infection. Health, Police, Urban administration, District administration, Panchayat officials and employees have worked diligently to prevent infection. And as a result of their collective efforts, we have succeeded in preventing corona infection in the state to a greater extent, minimizing the chances of further spread of infection in future.
As per the registration record of migrant workers, more than 70 thousand workers are yet to return to Chhattisgarh. These workers will also be be kept in the Quarantine Centers. Regarding the lock down, he said that bus transport is still closed and will remain closed for now. According to the advisory of the state and central government, the activities which have been started will not be stopped.
