Raipur (thestates.news) | Following the construction of the grand temple of Sri Ramlala in Ayodhya, the state government led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai launched the ‘Sri Ramlala Darshan Yojana’ to facilitate pilgrims’ visits to Ayodhya Dham. Under this scheme, around 850 pilgrims from the Durg and Bastar divisions departed from Durg station to visit Ayodhya Dham. The entire Durg station resonated with the chants of “Bhacha Ram Jai Siyaram.” Praising the scheme, pilgrims stated that it’s an excellent initiative by the Chhattisgarh Government under Chief Minister Shri Sai’s leadership. Many expressed that they had been waiting for this divine moment for years. Previously, pilgrims from Raipur and Bilaspur divisions had visited Ayodhya Dham. The pilgrimage resumed on Wednesday after the Model Code of Conduct for the Lok Sabha elections was lifted. Shri Sai extended his best wishes to the pilgrims heading to Ayodhya Dham.
The special train was flagged off from Platform No. 1 of Durg Railway Station by Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Sao and Shri Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, and MLAs Shri Domanlal Korsewada, Shri Lalit Chandrakar, Shri Gajendra Yadav, and Shri Rikesh Sen. People witnessed the vibrant tableaux of Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Hanuman, along with performances by Panthi dance troupes at the platform.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy CM Arun Sao emphasised Chhattisgarh’s connection to Lord Ram as his maternal home. He urged pilgrims to seek blessings for Chhattisgarh’s development. He stated that Shri Sai’s government is set to fulfil another of Prime Minister Shri Modi’s guarantees with the motto “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas” (together with all, development for all, trust of all, effort of all). Deputy CM Shri Vijay Sharma highlighted the temple’s construction after 500 years of struggle, crediting the central government’s strong will to resolve the issue. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap extended his best wishes to the pilgrims.
Guests interacted with the pilgrims, inquired about their well-being, and flagged off the train. Elderly pilgrims such as 77-year-old Shri Jay Srivastava and 70-year-old Smt. Jamul Bai from Balod district expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for making their long-held dream of visiting Ayodhya a reality. Shri Daulat Sahu, 55, from Rajnandgaon, shared the unique joy of travelling on the special train filled with devoted pilgrims.
Durg Division Commissioner Shri Satyanarayan Rathore, IG Shri R.G. Garg, Collector Sushri Richa Prakash Choudhary, SP Shri Jitendra Shukla, other officials, local representatives, and a large number of citizens were present.
