Chhattisgarh becomes the overall champion for the 12th time in the competition

Raipur (thestates.news) | Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar honored all the winning players of Chhattisgarh in the 26th All India Forest Sports Competition today. It is worth mentioning that Chhattisgarh has become the overall champion for the 12th time in the 26th All India Forest Sports Competition held at Panchkula in Haryana. Chhattisgarh again retained its first position by winning a total of 129 medals, beating its nearest rival, Karnataka.
Expressing delight over this significant achievement in the All India Forest Sports Competition in Chhattisgarh State, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar congratulated the Forest Department. Encouraging the players, he said that the entire state of Chhattisgarh, along with the Forest Department team, is proud of their excellent performance. The Forest Department has also performed well in terms of departmental work. As a result, the Forest Department has been awarded nine different awards at the national level for the better operation of its departmental activities.

 Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of the Forest Force Mr. V. Srinivasa Rao and Nodal Officer APCCF Mr. Sunil Mishra also expressed their happiness over the success of the Chhattisgarh Forest Department team in the competition. The All India Forest Sports Competition organizes indoor games like Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, Carrom, Chess, Weightlifting, Power Lifting, Kabaddi, as well as sports like Cricket, Football, Basket Ball, Hockey, Golf, Athletics.
In this competition, the highest officials of the Forest Department, from PCCF to the Guard, participate in sports events.
Chhattisgarh’s Forest Department team defeated Jammu and Kashmir in cricket and won the gold medal for the seventh time. Similarly, in football, Chhattisgarh secured the first position by defeating the Haryana team. Many national players were included in the Haryana team. The basketball team of Chhattisgarh won the gold medal by defeating the Karnataka team. Chhattisgarh won a total of 19 Gold in Weightlifting Powerlifting, 12 Gold in Tennis, 4 Gold in Badminton, 6 Gold in Swimming, 18 Gold, 10 Silver, 8 Bronze in Athletics. Similarly, it won 9 Gold and 2 silver medals in Tennis.
 
This way, in this year’s 26th All India Forest Sports Competition, Chhattisgarh won a total of 129 medals, scored a total of 509 points, and again retained its first position by beating its nearest rival Karnataka in tough competition.
It is worth mentioning that under the skilled guidance of the Chief Minister, Forest Minister, Principal Secretary of Forest Department Mr. Manoj Pingua, and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Mr. V. Srinivasa Rao, the tireless efforts of Nodal Officer APCCF Mr. Sunil Mishra, CCF Mr. Raju Agashmani and Mr. Dilraj Prabhakar, DFO Mr. Vishwesh Kumar, Mr. Alok Tiwari, Ms. Sangeeta Rajagopalan, and the practice and dedication of the players, Chhattisgarh secured the first place.
