Raipur (the states. news) Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan for development works worth more than Rs 650 crore during his stay in Bilaspur. He made three important announcements while addressing the general assembly in a function held at the local Lal Bahadur Shastri School ground. These include the naming of the Central Library after former MLA of Bilaspur Late Pandit Shivdulare Mishra, naming of the English school at Tarabahar after Sheikh Gaffar and naming of the Airport to be built in Bilaspur after Bilasa Bai Kevtin.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development and construction works worth Rs. 650 crores in a program organized at Bilaspur today. On this occasion, while wishing a happy new year, Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government is realizing the dream that our forefathers had dreamt of creating Chhattisgarh state. Chhattisgarhi government has been formed in the state of Chhattisgarh, due to which there has been prosperity in the lives of farmers, tribals, labourers and people belonging to the poor sections of the society in the last two years.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that soon after the formation of the government, it was decided to first waive off the loans of farmers and purchase paddy at the rate of 25 hundred rupees. The peasants of the state came out of debt. Trade in Chhattisgarh gained momentum due to loan waiver and purchase of paddy on support price. Positive impact was seen from the bullion market to the automobile sector. Sales of tractors and agricultural implements increased. The Chief Minister said that the number of farmers in the state has increased by one and a half times in the last two years. This is the result of farmer friendly policies and programs of our government.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that farmers are moving towards prosperity with the help given by the state government to farmers. He said that the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana has been launched with an aim to give the farmers the right price for their produce and to increase crop productivity. On this occasion, the Chief Minister reiterated his resolve to fulfill the promises made to the farmers.

The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government’s farmer-friendly policies are getting favorable results. He said that earlier farmers used to sell paddy and buy motor cycles. In Chhattisgarh state, now cattle rearers have started buying motorcycles by selling cow dung. This has been made possible by the Government of Chhattisgarh’s Godhan Nyaya Yojana. He said that in view of the benefits arising out of selling cow dung under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, people have started serving Gaumata.

Chief Minister said that the government of Chhattisgarh is the government of Janata Janardan. Our resolve is to serve Chhattisgarh Mahtari. He hoped that the participation of all the people would give a new dimension to the development of the state. The government is always ready to serve the 2 crore 80 lakh people of the state and will remain so. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced the naming of Central Library after former MLA of Bilaspur Late Pandit Shivdulare Mishra, naming of English school at Tarabahar after Sheikh Gaffar and naming of the airport to be built in Bilaspur after Bilasa Bai Kevtin

Home Minister and Minister in-charge of Bilaspur district, Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu said that the entire country and the world was troubled by the global epidemic in the last nine months. Despite this, the state government continued to work unitedly for the good of the people. He said that since the formation of our government, the work of preserving and saving the culture of Chhattisgarh is being done. A holiday has been declared on the traditional Teej festival of Chhattisgarh. This is a true measure of development. Now ordinary citizens are also accepting that a Chhattisgarhi government in the state is serving the people. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the state of Chhattisgarh is moving towards rapid development. Government’s schemes have started a new wave of change in the lives of common people. He said that Chhattisgarh government is working to preserve the pride and culture of the state.

Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that due to Covid-19, the economy of the whole country was stalled. Despite this, the GST recovery in the state has increased by 23 percent. There has been a 10 percent increase in the previous month. The Battle of Corona continues in Chhattisgarh. The state government has a target of purchasing 90 lakh metric tonnes of paddy this year. Permission to purchase rice in FCI has not been issued by the Central Government so far. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, 4500 crores have been deposited in the farmers’ account in three installments. The economic condition of the people is also improving with the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. 100 crore rupees has been sanctioned for the conservation of the Arpa river, the lifeline of Bilaspur district. Two barrages will be constructed in future which will increase the water level.

Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahriya said that within two years of the coming of our government, development works are going on with rapid pace in all the urban bodies of the state. Leasing is being done under the Rajiv Gandhi Aashrya Yojana. People are being treated under the Chief Minister Urban Slum Scheme. Diagnostic centers are being opened in the municipal area where CT Scans etc. will be started at a lower rate. There will be a system of low cost treatment. The Pauni Pasari scheme is being operated in 166 urban bodies of the state. During the Corona period, migrant workers from outside were given Charan Paduka on the instructions of the Chief Minister. All-round development of the state is taking place under the leadership of Bhupesh Baghel.

 Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Rashmi Singh, MLA Mr. Shailesh Pandey also addressed the occasion. Collector, Dr. Saransh Mitter read the report. Former Rajya Sabha MP Smt Kamala Manhar and other public representatives and a large number of distinguished citizens were present on the occasion.
