Raipur(thestates.news)| Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel launched the “Unemployment Allowance Scheme” on April 1 this year. The ambitious scheme of the state government has sparked excitement among the unemployed youth who are enthusiastic about benefiting from it. Within just 24 days, over 41,465 applicants received approval for the allowance. The scheme has received 1,17,074 applications on the unemployment allowance portal, and 63,908 of these have been recommended for approval after document verification. 

As per the announcement Chief Minister’s announcement, the unemployment allowance of Rs 2,500 is being directly transferred to the bank accounts of applicants through DBT. The scheme aims to provide a monthly allowance of Rs. 2,500 to unemployed individuals in the state, along with skill training to enhance their employability.

It is worth mentioning that soon after the inception of the scheme, a total of 4,269 registrations were already received on the portal by 5 pm on the first day. Youth have expressed that unemployment benefits will prove to be a crucial support system in alleviating financial hardships along their career journey, providing much-needed relief during challenging times. During the launch event of the scheme, the beneficiaries who received approval orders for the unemployment allowance from the Chief Minister appeared extremely pleased. One of them applied for the allowance on April 1 itself, and the application was approved on the same day.
