Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel graced the 6th convocation ceremony of Hidayatullah National Law University in Nava Raipur on Sunday. The prestigious event was held at the IIIT auditorium and was presided over by the Honourable Justice Mr. Aniruddha Bose, a distinguished Judge of the Supreme Court of India and the visitor of HNLU. The convocation was inaugurated by the Chancellor of HNLU and Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Mr. Ramesh Sinha. Additionally, two books were published, “Rights of Nature for Sustainable Development” and the “HNLU Journal of Law and Social Sciences,” during the ceremony.
In a grand convocation ceremony, two exceptional students, Ms. Debmita Mandal and Ms. Shraddha Rajput, were conferred with the Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Faculty of HNLU. Along with them, 152 students successfully passed the Bachelor of Law course examination, while 55 students cleared the postgraduate examination. 36 gold medals were awarded to the students for their outstanding academic performances. Among the recipients were 13 undergraduate students and three postgraduate students who received medals in various categories, such as the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, the University Gold Medal for Best Performing Girl Student, the Chhattisgarh State Bar Council Gold Medal, and several others.
Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and former member of the HNLU Executive Council, Justice Mr. M. R. Shah, Justice Mr. Prashant Kumar Mishra of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Mr. Sam Koshy of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Former Director of the National Judicial Academy in Bhopal, Justice Mr. Sanjay K. Aggarwal, Justice Mr. Goda Raghuram, and many educationists, jurists, parents, and students were present.
