Chief Minister inaugurates groundwater conservation works worth Rs 4.99 crore on Jaitrani Nala of Jogisar

Mr. Baghel inspects newly-built stop dam built under Narva Vikas Yojana at the cost of Rs 36.53 lakh

Raipur (the states. news) Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today left from Janjgir-Champa district via helicopter and reached Jogisar gram panchayat of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district at 1pm. He also inspected the stop dam built under Narva Vikas Yojana at the cost of Rs 36 lakh 53 thousand at Jaitrani Nala. On the occasion, Mr. Baghel inaugurated groundwater conservation works done on Jaitrani Nala under Narva Vikas Yojana at the cost of Rs 4 crore 99 lakh, sanctioned from CAMPA fund. Thereafter Chief Minister interacted with the people of the village. On the occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr Charan Das Mahant, MP Mrs. Jyotsana Mahant and Revenue Minister Mr. Jai Singh Agrawal were also present.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel interacted with the farmers namely Mr. Shobharam Oraon, Mr. Uday Goad, Mr. Shankar Goad, Mr. Thakur Bhanu, Mr. Mahesh Singh Rajput, who have been benefitted from Jatarni Nala. These farmers told Chief Minister that ever since stop dams have been constructed on Jaitarni Nala, they get water-supply from the rivulet round the year. Because of which, pets don’t have to wander for water and wild animals no more enter the village, making rural life safe for everyone. (media saheb.com)
