Raipur (thestates.news)| Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, unveiled a life-size statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh at the Joint District Office premises of District Headquarters Balodabazar. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel remembered martyr Veer Narayan Singh by paying homage to his statue on this occasion. This bronze metal life-size statue stands 12 feet tall and weighs 2 tons. This statue was installed in the same order as the previous statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
It is worth noting that on December 10, 2020, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced the installation of a life-size statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh at the District Office Complex Balodabazar as part of a program commemorating Martyrdom Day in Sonakhan. The installation of a life-size statue of Veer Narayan Singh, the great revolutionary of Chhattisgarh, the son of the soil of Sonakhan, and the first martyr of the 1857 revolt have made not just the district campus, but the entire state, proud. This statue shows a glimpse of Chhattisgarh’s golden history.
