CM for dedicated hospitals in every dist to check dengue in UP

Lucknow,(thestates.news) : While reviewing the status of dengue and other communicable diseases in a high-level meeting on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the health department and concerned to intensify hectic efforts to check the menace in Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi has ordered that dedicated hospitals will be set up in every district for the prevention of dengue.There will be door-to-door screening. Significantly, there has been an increase in the cases of dengue in the last few weeks.

“Take the help of Asha sisters, visit door-to-door for screening. After identifying symptomatic patients, arrangements should be made for their proper treatment,” he added.

Chief minister said dedicated dengue hospitals should be activated like dedicated Covid hospitals. There should be availability of doctors and health workers, facilities for investigation and adequate arrangements for treatment. It should also be linked to ICCC.

Taking serious note of dengue deaths in UP, Yogi said all the ministers should be in the field. In any case, it should be ensured that every patient coming to the hospital gets a bed. All our medical colleges including district hospital, PHC, CHC and other high level institutions are resourceful. People should get the benefit of this. Personnel deployed in healthcare or security are expected to develop cooperative behaviour with attendants of patients.

The Health Department, Urban Development, Panchayati Raj and Information Department should conduct comprehensive awareness programmes, said the CM adding that people should be given correct information about the causes, symptoms, prevention etc. of dengue. Detailed information should be given about the causes and treatment of this disease through awareness-oriented advertisements in newspapers, wall paintings, public address system etc, said the Chief Minister.(HS)
