CM Shri Chouhan’s daily plantation resolve echoes from local to global level

Bhopal (thestates.news) | In an era impacted by the ill-effects of climate change and global warming, Madhya Pradesh has been established as a brand name in the country and abroad by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Chouhan who has been planting saplings every day. When climate change and prevention of effects of global warming are being discussed only academically in conferences, seminars and environmental debates in the country and abroad, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken a vow to work in this regard on a personal level. The vow was to plant saplings everyday and to rope in people in this daily undertaking of planting saplings.

Two years back from today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan started ths practice of planting saplings every day on the occasion of Narmada Jayanti on February 19, 2021, at Amarkantak, the origin of Maa Narmada, and has been continuing this practice ever since. Be it the change of weather like winter, summer, rain or problems of his own health, or his busy schedule, the complications of migrations in the state and outside, come what may, no situation deters the Chief Minister from fulfilling his vow of planting saplings every day. Shri Chouhan planted approximately 2200 saplings in 730 days in these two years.

The activity of planting saplings expanded from many towns and cities of the state including Bhopal to 12 states of the country. Now the situation is such that along with Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, many social organizations and individuals have also been motivated to plant saplings everyday. This is the reason why this effort of social concern started from a small drop is continuously moving towards becoming an ocean.
