Top-10 board exam achievers to be felicitated under Mukhyamantri Noni-Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana
Raipur, (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will felicitate meritorious children of registered construction workers who secured positions in the top 10 of the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for the academic session 2025-26 at a special programme to be held at New Circuit House, Civil Lines, Raipur, on Friday.
The felicitation ceremony will be organised under the Mukhyamantri Noni-Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana. Labour Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan and Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Dr Ram Pratap Singh, will also be present on the occasion.
A cheque of ₹2 lakh will be awarded to each beneficiary student, comprising a ₹1 lakh incentive and a ₹1 lakh grant for purchasing a two-wheeler.
Eligibility criteria
According to officials of the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, the beneficiary worker must have been registered with the Labour Welfare Board for at least 90 days before availing the benefit. The incentive is available only for the first two children of a registered construction worker and can be availed only once in an academic year. The scheme aims to support children from construction worker families in pursuing higher education and achieving academic excellence.
