Gauthan Map App to be launched
114 crore rupees paid to cattle rearing farmers through Godhan Nyay Yojana till now
Raipur (The States. news) Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will disburse an amount of Rs. 3 crore 93 lakh online to the cattle rearing villagers, women groups associated with Gauthans and Gauthan committees in the amount transfer program of Godhan Nyay Yojana to be organized in his residence office at 12 noon on December 20. This includes, Rs. 2 crore 63 lakh to be paid in lieu of cow dung purchased in the Gauthans of the state from December 1 to December 15 from cattle rearing villagers, farmers, landless people under Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rs. 79 lakh to Gauthan committees and Rs. 51 lakh to women groups.
The Chief Minister will also launch the Gauthan Map App on this occasion. Through this app, updated information about all the activities conducted in Gauthan like dung purchase, payment, income oriented activities of women self-help groups associated with Gauthan, rate and sale of material produced will be available.
It is worth mentioning here that under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, cow dung is being purchased from the villagers at the rate of Rs 2 per kilogram. This scheme was started in the state on 20 July 2020 from Hareli festival. During the period from 20 July 2020 to 15 December 2021, 58.32 lakh quintals of cow dung has been purchased, in lieu of which Rs 114 crore has been paid to the sellers so far. Women Self Help Groups are preparing Vermi Compost, Super Compost, Super Compost Plus and other products on a large scale from cow dung in Gauthans.
