Talking to the media on Thursday, Tharoor said that he is meeting Congress workers from across the country, who want change in the leadership. Shashi Tharoor said he has a roadmap to strengthen the party. He wants to channel new energy into the party, so that once again the trust of the people in the Congress can be strengthened. He said that the election for the post of president is being conducted only to strengthen the party.
The election for the post of Congress President will be held on October 17. Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor, both candidates for the post of President, are meeting campaigning, visiting different states of the country.
