Dearness allowance hiked by 6 per cent for government employees in Chhattisgarh

Order issued by Finance Department as per instructions of Chief Minister

Raipur( thestates.news) |As per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Chhattisgarh Government has issued an order regarding 6 per cent hike in the dearness allowance for the government employees of the state.
The order issued by the Finance Department stated that from the month of May 2022, the employees of the state government are being given dearness allowance at the rate of 22 per cent under the seventh pay scale and 174 per cent under the sixth pay scale. According to the order issued, the government employees of the state will be given dearness allowance at the rate of 28 per cent by increasing the dearness allowance under the seventh pay scale by 6 per cent and at the rate of 189 percent by increasing 15 per cent under the sixth pay scale from August 1, 2022.
It has also been decided by the state government that the increased dearness allowance amount will be paid in cash from August 1, 2022. Dearness allowance will be calculated on the basis of basic pay. This will not include special pay or personal pay. No part of Dearness Allowance shall be deemed to be a part of salary under principal rule 9(21).
