Employment opportunities for women on local level

Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh reviewed RIPA located in Temri

Raipur (thestates.news)In accordance with the intention of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the state government has established RIPA to strengthen the rural economy and provide employment to entrepreneurs at the local level. Joint Secretary and Nodal Officer Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh reviewed the activities conducted in the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park, an ambitious scheme of the government, in Temri village of the Dharsiwa development block. He instructed all the concerned officers and employees to conduct all the required activities at Temri RIPA effectively.

At present, works like the manufacture of herbal gulal, rangoli, flavoured juice, millet cafe, etc. are being undertaken in Temri’s RIPA, where 50 women are employed. A contract has been signed with Ganesha Herbal Gulal for marketing the goods produced in RIPA.

It is noteworthy that the RIPA scheme was started under the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, and it has provided women with better employment opportunities. With the Rural Industrial Park operating in the village itself, women are now receiving employment at the local level near their homes. Women, who were earlier engaged in their domestic duties, are now operating state-of-the-art machines. They were given proper training to operate the machines. As a result, women are producing more than 100 types of goods, including paint, bricks, and dona-pattal, in various Rural Industrial Parks in the state.
