Chief Minister Shri Sai Orders Regular Monitoring of Ration Distribution in Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Settlements
Raipur (thestates.news) |Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has directed officials to ensure that every eligible family receives its full ration entitlement on time through the Public Distribution System (PDS). He said that families belonging to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), including the Pahadi Korwa community, as well as those living in remote areas, must not face any difficulty in receiving their full entitlement of foodgrains under the PDS. If any negligence or irregularity is detected in ration distribution, responsibility must be fixed and immediate action taken.
Directing officials to regularly monitor the PDS, Shri Sai said that it is the responsibility of the officials concerned to ensure that foodgrains provided by the government reach the actual beneficiaries in the prescribed quantity and within the stipulated time. He directed officials to maintain additional sensitivity while monitoring the availability and distribution of ration in settlements inhabited by PVTGs.
The Chief Minister took serious note of a complaint that Pahadi Korwa families in Aamanara village of the Dharamjaigarh area in Raigarh district had not received their ration. He spoke to Raigarh Collector Shri Mayank Chaturvedi over the telephone to seek details of the matter and directed him to ensure immediate distribution of ration to all affected eligible families.
