PM Modi said in a tweet message- “Hindi has brought a special honor to India across the world. Its simplicity, spontaneity and sensitivity always attracts. On Hindi Diwas, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all those people who have contributed tirelessly in making it prosperous and empowered. It is noteworthy that on September 14, 1949, Hindi was given the status of official language. In view of the same, this day is celebrated as Hindi Diwas.(HS)
