India mourns death of Queen Elizabeth II

New Delhi(thestates.news)| There is a state mourning in the country on Sunday in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II of Britain. The national flag is at half-mast at the Red Fort and Rashtrapati Bhavan and other governent buildings. Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday. There is a 10-day national mourning in Britain. The Home Ministry had issued a statement declaring one-day state mourningacross the country on September 11 in her honor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had paid tribute to the Queen after her death. He said that he was saddened by the death of the Queen and conveyed his condolences to her family and the people of Britain at this time of grief.(HS):
