New Delhi, (thestates.news) : Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, on completion of eight years of the Central Government, said that the country is getting stronger today and is ready to lead at the global level. Mandaviya tweeted on Monday that various schemes for the welfare of the poor have increased the standard of living of poor. He said the country made remarkable progress in many areas including security, vaccination and infrastructure development. In the last eight years, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, along with all-round development in the country, with the spirit of Antyodaya, the welfare of the common people has been ensured by bringing many schemes in the health sector, the health minister added.
Referring to the Covid-19 pandemic, he said that while the biggest epidemic of the century affected the whole world, India did the best Covid management in the world including the world’s largest vaccination campaign. All this has been possible due to able leadership and visionary thinking of Modi, Mandaviya said. He further said that in the last eight years in the health sector, 3.26 crore people have got treatment under Ayushman Yojana. More than 8,700 PM Jan Aushadhi Kendras were opened, where medicines are available at affordable rates. WHO Global Center of Traditional Medicine has been established in Jamnagar. An anti-Covid vaccination campaign has been launched, where 193 crore people were given free vaccines. Health Minister added that six new AIIMS were started and the number of medical colleges has been increased by 55 per cent.(HS)
