J P Nadda asks people to give rest to Odisha CM, allow BJP to form government

Karanjia/ Dhamnagar (Odisha) (Thestates.news) | BJP National President J P Nadda on Thursday appealed to the people of Odisha to give rest to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and allow the BJP to form the government in the state.
Addressing the Vijay Sanjlap Samabesha at Karanjia and Dhamnagar, Nadda said Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik needs rest and it seems the people of the state have already decided to give Naveen rest and vote BJP to power.

He said Patnaik had already ruled the state for a long period and appealed to the people to give the BJP a chance to govern the state .The BJP President said during its 24-year rule, the BJD has used the poor tribals, and villagers as its vote bank and did little for their development and empowerment.Under the BJD rule, the tribals, the poor and the villagers have suffered a lot, forcing them to migrate to other states in search of livelihood, Nadda said and alleged that an outsider is now ruling Odisha. The elected representatives in the state are debarred from meeting the Chief Minister while major job contracts are awarded to people outside the state.

He said even the contract for running buses under the Laxmi Bus scheme ,supplying dresses and cycles to students in the state and supplying food to the students was given to an outsider.Nadda asked the people “whether such a government should be allowed to rule the state”.The BJP President appealed to the people to vote for the BJP candidates both for the Lok Sabha and state Assembly to form a strong double engine government to take the state on the path of development and send back the outsider.

Taking a potshot at the INDI alliance, Nadda said they were indulging in appeasement politics and busy in protecting their families and corruption. On the Calcutta High Court’s order cancelling all the OBC certificates issued by the West Bengal government after 2010, the BJP President said the INDI alliance leaders including ‘Sonia, Kharge Mamata’ wanted to snatch the reservation from the tribals, OBC and give it to minorities but BJP will not allow it to happen.

Nadda said during the last ten years Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the language, culture and style of Indian politics.

Earlier politics was being made on the basis of caste, region, religion and tribals were seen as vote bank politics. No one was thinking of their development. But Prime Minister Modi’s policy of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikash”, and Sabka Prayash” has changed the politics in the country.

The Modi government, Nadda said, has given an identity to the tribals and taken steps to empower them and decided to observe November 15 as the Jana Jati Diwas.

Due to the farsightedness of PM Modi , Droupadi Murmu, the tribal daughter of Odisha occupied the highest constitutional post of President.

Modi has increased the budgetary provision for setting up of Eklavya Model schools by 21 times for the education of tribal students, increased the number of forest produce under MSP from 10 to 90 to help the tribal and constructed 1.5 crore Izzat Ghar (toilets) for the tribals.

Highlighting various achievements of the Modi government during the last 10 years, Nadda said the economy of the country has reached fifth position in the world.

The BJP President said PM Modi has decided to make India self-reliant in oil and dal in the next few years.
