JSPL building and developing a safety culture, Encourage youth to make safety a top priority

Raipur, March 2, 2022 – Mr. Arvind Tagai, Unit Head, Machinery Division of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), a company headed by eminent industrialist Mr. Naveen Jindal called upon to make every day a safety day. He said that whatever be the area of life, safety should be our top priority. Shri Tagai also stressed on encouraging youth to build and develop a safety culture.

In connection with the celebration of National Safety Day on 4th March every year, JSPL started the Safety Week event at Raipur Machinery Division of JSPL from 1st March to 8th March. Mr. Tagai said that the slogan writing competition will run till 3rd March with the theme will be Plant, Home and Road Safety. Poster design competition will also be focused on aforesaid subjects. Safety Quiz Competition will be organized on 4th March on National Safety Day. The best contractor will also be judged and announced during in the Safety Week. For this, cleanliness, safety, disposal of unwanted materials, electrical connectivity and best material safety arrangements, personal protective equipment and updated documentation will be the bases of assessment.

Shri Tagai said that street play will also be organized at Heritage Park on 8th March at the end of safety week so that everyone can get a glimpse of our efforts and how seriously we are trying to make an accident-free system. The winners of all the competitions will also be awarded in the closing ceremony itself.

A committee has also been formed to organize Safety Week events, which is headed by Unit Head Mr. Arvind Tagai and its members are Mr. Mukesh Tiwari, Mr. Sunil Gupta, Mr. Suryoday Dubey, and Mr. Shailendra Kumar Prasad
