Mumbai (Thestates.news) | Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the renovated Andheri Railway Station (RS) Post Office in Mumbai on 8th May 2026 as a Future-Ready Post Office under the Department of Posts’ flagship initiative, Jan Sewa Connect.
Originally established in 1932-33, the Andheri RS Post Office has been renovated as part of India Post’s efforts to transform traditional post offices into modern, customer-centric and technology-enabled service hubs. The project has been undertaken in partnership with the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.(s-pib)
