Raipur (thestates.news)| First Step 2022 Induction Program was organized for the new students of BA, Social Work and Journalism first semester by Dean Student Welfare Department of Kalinga University at its campus on Thursday.
Students were given a warm welcome at the entrance and porch area of the Kalinga University with beats of Dhol.
During the Induction program showering of flowers and Tilak was performed for the new students at the entrance of the Auditorium of Kalinga University. Lighting of traditional lamps with Goddess Saraswati Vandana took place. Brief information was shared to the students through Power Point Presentation (PPT) about Kalinga University. Introduction of all dignitaries Chairman, Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Director General, Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Dean Students Welfare, Dean Academic Affairs of Kalinga University were presented through PPT. Vice Chancellor Dr R Shridhar, Registrar Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Dean
Students Welfare Dr Asha Ambhaikar, Dean Academic Affairs Mr Rahul Mishra, Guest Speaker Mr Shekhar Jain, Motivational speaker Corporate trainer other dignitaries present during the function were welcome by offering potted plants.

A welcome dance was presented by Ms. Anchal Sinha, a student of University. After the formal inauguration Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar of Kalinga University gave a welcome speech. He informed that Kalinga is among the top universities of central India. A motivational speech was presented by Vice Chancellor Dr R Shridhar. He emphasized on preparing students for global level competition through hard work.
A group dance was performed by Rithik and group. Motivational speech was given by Keynote speaker Mr Shekhar Jain. He informed that through development of skills like Communication, Common sense and Discipline students can win the world.
Mr. Animesh, Famous RJ of My FM was another Guest Speaker in the event. He informed the students about career opportunities in Journalism. A game Pictionary was played by the students. Melodious songs presented by students Ayush Dhiwar and Md Hasan mesmerized the audience.
Introduction of Deans and Head of the Department was done through PPT. Dr Vijay Bhushan, Faculty of
Arts and Humanities gave introduction of faculties.
Mr Rahul Mishra, Dean Academic Affairs gave valuable information on Academics curriculum. Dr Asha Ambhaikar, Dean Students Welfare proposed vote of thanks. The program concluded with National Anthem. The program was organized by the team of Dean Student Welfare. Master of ceremony was Mr Kapil Kelkar and Ms Shreya Dwivedi, welcome team members were Ms Marita Jagdalla and Jessika Minj Khare while cultural events were managed by Lt. Vibha Chandrakar. Mr Om Prakash Dewangan, Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Computer Science and IT took care of technical part of the event.
Sports officer Dr Sanjeev Kumar Yadav well coordinated the sports events. All Deans, Head of Departments and faculties were present during the programme. Parents of the students also enjoyed the fun filled event and appreciated the efforts made by the Kalinga University for the new students.
After lunch break students took part in outdoor fun games activities like Tug of War and Treasure Hunt. Students enjoyed the games and played with great enthusiasm.
