Chief Minister pays floral tribute to the picture of Late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar on his death anniversary
Raipur (the states. news) Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today paid a courteous tribute to late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar on his death anniversary, by garlanding his picture, in a programme organized at Bhilai-3 Bazar Chowk. In his address to the programme, Chief Minister said that Shri Chandulal Chandrakar had played an important role in formation of Chhattisgarh state. He led several movements, held meetings and extensively created public awareness for the formation of Chhattisgarh state. Chief Minister said that Shri Chandrakar had a special vision for development of Chhattisgarh. He always used to talk about the possibilities of horticulture in the state.Today, Durg district is at the top in the production of vegetables and fruits in Chhattisgarh, as a result of late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar ji’s vision. He had also played an important role in the industrial development of Bhilai. As a sports journalist Shri Chandrakar travelled every nook and corner of the world. He took his state pride everywhere he went. He would always carry the typical khurmi with him even during his foreign trips. He would never forget to take ‘datun’ with him everywhere he went. He was among the top journalists of the country. He had spent a lot of time with Gandhiji during his days at Birla House.
