Mumbai (Thestates.news)| A Seminar on the theme ‘Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar As A Jurist’ was organised to celebrate the completion of 100 years of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s enrolment as an advocate and receiving Sanad (1923 -2023) at the Convocation Hall of University of Mumbai on Sat (9 Sept.)
The Seminar presided by Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais was attended by Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, Advocate General Dr. Birendra Saraf, Vice Chancellor of University of Mumbai Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni, Director General of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) Sunil Ware, Vice Chairman of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa Adv Uday Warunjikar, National Secretary of Adhivakta Parishad Konkan Prant Adv. Anjali Helekar and others.
The Governor released the books ‘Chintanatil Krantisurya Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’ and ‘Karveer Sansthan, Barrister Ambedkar Aani Kort Kacheritil Bahishkrut’. The programme began with the collective reading of the Preamble of the Constitution.
The Seminar was organised by BARTI in association with University of Mumbai, Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, and ‘Adhivakta Parishad’ Konkan Prant.
