Maharashtra Governor presents Vishwakarma Gunwant Kamgar Puraskars to 51 workers from State

Mumbai (Thestates.news), The 35th Vishwakarma Gunwant Kamgar Puraskars instituted by the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board for the year 2021-22 were presented ceremoniously to 51 meritorious workers from various companies and establishments at the hands of Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais.

At the awards function held at Kamgar Krida Bhavan Parel Mumbai on Mon (30 Oct), the Governor presented the Rao Bahadur Narayan Meghaji Lokhande Kamgar Mitra Award to Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh. The Kamgar Bhushan Award was presented to Mohan Gopal Gaikwad, Electrician from Tata Motors Pimpri, Pune. The Governor offered tributes to Hutatma Babu Genu and Raobahadur Narayan Meghaji Lokhande. 

The Governor also released the publication ‘Shrama Kalyan Yug’ on the occasion.

Minister of Labour Welfare Dr. Suresh Khade, Guardian Minister of Mumbai Deepak Kesarkar, MLA Kalidas Kolambakar, MLA Sada Saravankar, MLA Manisha Kayande, Principal Secretary Labour Department Vinita Ved Singhal, Mumbai Collector Rajendra Kshirsagar, Labor Commissioner Satish Deshmukh, Labor Welfare Commissioner Raviraj Ilwe, awardees and their families were present.
