Meeting of the committee for the sustainability of corpus of Medicare scheme of retired coal India employees held in SECL

Bilaspur (Thestates.news)| Officials from Coal India, SECL and other subsidiary companies along with union representatives attend the meeting The first meeting of the Coal India level committee formed for the Contributory Post Retirement Medicare Scheme corpus of Coal India employees was held under the chairmanship of SECL CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra on 03/02/2024 at SECL Headquarters. In the meeting, various issues related to better management and utilization of the corpus of the “Contributory Post Retirement Medicare Scheme” (CPRMS-NE), a scheme for medical benefits for retired non-executive employees of Coal India, were discussed.

Keeping in mind the social security of Coal India workers, under the provisions of the recently implemented National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA-11) for hiking the pay upgradation of non-executive employees of Coal India, it was agreed to form a bipartite committee at the Coal India level in collaboration with labour union representatives for better financial management of corpus of CPRMS-NE.
Moving forward in the direction of its implementation, SECL hosted the first meeting of the committee thus formed at SECL headquarters.

The meeting was attended by SECL Director (Finance) Shri G. Srinivasan, Shri Sunil Kumar Mehta, Executive Director (Finance) Coal India, Shri Gautam Banerjee, General Manager (Manpower & Industrial Relations), Coal India, Dr. Ratnesh Jain, CMS, CCL (through VC), Shri Kundan Singh, Senior Manager, Coal India, Shri Rohit Pandey, Deputy Manager, Coal India, Labor Union Representatives – Shri Rajkumar Singh (BMS), Shri Ramesh Singh (HMS), Shri Satish Kumar Keshari (AITUC), and Shri DD Ramanandan (CITU).

Mr. Sanjay Srivastava, General Manager (Finance)/Head of Department (C&B), Dr. Pratibha Pathak, CMS, and Mrs. Sujata Rani, Head of Department (EE/PF/Pension) from SECL were also present in the meeting.
