Rs 53.51 crore approved for Raipur Municipal Corporation, Rs 11.48 crore for Dhamtari, Rs 8.91 crore for Bilaspur, Rs 7.71 crore for Bhilai-Charoda, and Rs 7.12 crore for Raigarh

Under the 14th Finance Commission, Rs 19.38 lakh sanctioned for Kharoud Nagar Panchayat and Rs 3.12 lakh for New Ledri Nagar Panchayat

Raipur (thestates.news) | The Department of Urban Administration and Development has approved a total of Rs 112 crore 10 lakh 51 thousand for 30 urban bodies of the state under the 14th and 15th Finance Commissions. This includes a total of Rs 111 crore 88 lakh 1 thousand sanctioned for 30 urban bodies under the 15th Finance Commission and the sanction of Rs 19 lakh 38 thousand for Kharoud Nagar Panchayat and Rs 3 lakh 12 thousand for New Ledri Nagar Panchayat under the 14th Finance Commission. With the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Urban Administration and Development Mr. Arun Sao, the department has made the aforementioned sanctions with the instructions to ensure timely completion of the proposed works while strictly complying to the quality standards.

Under the 15th Finance Commission, Rs 7 crore 71 lakh 37 thousand has been approved for Bhilai-Charoda Municipal Corporation, Rs 8 crore 90 lakh 86 thousand for Bilaspur Municipal Corporation, Rs 71 lakh 39 thousand for Kawardha Municipal Council, Rs 1 crore 53 lakh 78 thousand for Saraipali Municipal Council, Rs 8 lakh 33 thousand for Bagbahara Municipal Council, Rs 98 lakh for Lormi Nagar Panchayat, Rs 73 lakh 52 thousand for Daundi Lohara Nagar Panchayat, Rs 3 crore 69 lakh 53 thousand for Durg Municipal Corporation, Rs 7 crore 11 lakh 75 thousand for Raigarh Municipal Corporation, Rs 4 crore 20 lakh 62 thousand for Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation, Rs 45 lakh 7 thousand has been approved for Balodabazar Municipal Council, Rs 52 lakh for New Ledri Nagar Panchayat,  Rs 32 lakh 85 thousand for Utei Nagar Panchayat and Rs 4 crore 37 lakh 94 thousand has been approved for Chirmiri Municipal Corporation.
