The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, Haryana, at around 11 o’clock in the day. After that, the PM will go to Mohali and inaugurate the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Center at Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District (Mohali) at around 2:15 am. With the inauguration of Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, modern medical infrastructure will be available in the National Capital Region. The hospital will be managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math. This super-speciality hospital has 2600 beds. The construction cost of the hospital is estimated at Rs 6,000 crore and will provide excellent health facilities to the people of Faridabad and the entire National Capital Region.
The Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Center will provide world-class cancer facilities and treatment to the residents of Punjab and neighbouring states. The hospital has been built at a cost of Rs 660 crore by Tata Memorial Centre, an aided institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. his cancer hospital is a tertiary level hospital with a capacity of 300 beds. The hospital is equipped with all the modern facilities for the treatment of all types of cancer. There will be facilities for surgery, radiotherapy, and medical oncology – chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and bone marrow transplant. The hospital will function as a centre for cancer facilities and treatment across the region, and a 100-bed hospital in Sangrur will act as its branch.(HS):
