Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board achieved three world records on World Environment Day

Forest Minister lauds the public awareness campaign initiated by the CECB

Raipur (thestates.news) |  On World Environment Day, which was observed on June 5, the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) achieved three world records. These included the Limca Book of World Records for creating a 3600 square foot canvas painting using cow dung paint, as well as receiving trophies and certificates from the Star Book of World Records and the World Record Book for administering 12,38,116 environmental protection oaths in a single day. Mr. Mohammad Akbar presented the awards to Mr. Subrat Sahoo, Chairman of the Board.

The Forest Minister, Mr. Mohammad Akbar, lauded the public awareness campaign initiated by the CECB, emphasising the necessity of public involvement in environmental protection. He stressed the importance of collective participation in eradicating plastic waste, as the ancestors have bequeathed us a healthy and clean environment as a legacy. Mr. Akbar addressed a seminar titled “Reducing the Use of Single-Use Plastic Through Personal Habits and Behaviours” on World Environment Day, organised by the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board. He highlighted the deep connection between nature and life, emphasising that the security and prosperity of the future depend on its conservation and protection. Protecting the environment and preventing pollution are crucial in the present scenario, and active participation from all individuals is crucial.
