Rajim–a confluence of spirituality, religion and our glorious culture: CM Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur  (The States. news) Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that Rajim is not just a city but  a confluence of spirituality, religion and our glorious culture. Considering the religious importance of Rajim, we have not only allotted 54 acres of land for the new fair site to give grandeur to Rajim Maghi Punni Mela here, but have also expanded the facilities including construction of a Dharamshala for the devotees coming to the fair. The fair site is being developed at a rapid pace. Today, Lakshman Jhula constructed at a cost of Rs 33.12 crore was inaugurated at Triveni Sangam, Rajim. CM Mr. Baghel was addressing the closing ceremony of Rajim Maghi Punni Mela today.

The famous Rajim Maghi Punni Mela organized at the confluence of three rivers in Rajim from 16 February to 01 March concluded with much fanfare in the presence of CM Bhupesh Baghel as chief guest. CM and other special guests present on the occasion offered prayers to the idol of Lord Rajiv Lochan and prayed for the happiness, safety and prosperity of the state. The programme was presided over by the Tourism, Home and Public Works Department Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu. Over 10 lakh devotees participated in the Rajim Maghi Punni Mela this year.
