Representatives from various Industrial and Commercial organisations of Durg-Rajnandgaon meet CM Bhupesh Baghel

Extend congraulatulations and best wishes to Shri Bhupesh Baghel on securing second spot in ranking of popular Chief Ministers  

Raipur (thestates.news) Representatives from various Industrial and Commercial organisations of Durg-Rajnandgaon region, met Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, today in his residence office and extended congraulatulations and best wishes to Shri Baghel on securing second spot in ranking of popular Chief Ministers. Recently a renowned institution had conducted a nationwide survey of Chief Minister’s performance and image in public, in this survey, Shri Baghel ranked second among all CMs. Representatives dubbed this achievement as a proud moment for Chhattisgarh.

Delegation of representatives praised the industry and commerce friendly policies adopted by Chhattisgarh Government and the diligent efforts put in by the administration, for prevention and control of Covid-19. Representatives said that the policy of State Government to give priority to, goods produced by state’s MSMEs, in government procurement, has encouraged industries in this sector. Chief Minister said that, in a move to boost state’s economy, Chhattisgarh Government has decided to buy products, not produced in the sate, if needed in government procurement, from the dealers of companies producing these goods in the state.

On the request of the delegation, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel assured to adopt a long term pricing policy for iron ore from NMDC for sponge iron industries of Chhattisgarh and to take initiative regarding supply of five million tonnes of iron ore to sponge iron industries of Chhattisgarh.The Chief Minister said that to prevent corona infection during the operation of industries, the guidelines of the Central and State Government should be strictly followed.  Separate arrangements should be made for the stay of drivers and cleaners of trucks carrying goods from outside to the industries and they should be kept away from contact with the workers of the industries.

 The delegation said that due to the efforts of the state government, the price of iron ore from NMDC has come down, but due to their complex policies, the price keeps increasing every month, if there is a provision for pricing for a long period, there will be ease in operating the industry. Representatives thanked the Chief Minister for the announcement of land free hold made by the state government in the interest of industries and urged to implement it soon. The delegation thanked Chief Minister Mr. Baghel for initiating government procurement through CSIDC in place of Gem Portal, and also requested that in order to encourage trade within the state, essential commodities required by large plants located in Chhattisgarh, which are produced by small scale industries of the state, should not be imported from outside and only the products manufactured in Chhattisgarh, should be used. The delegation informed Chief Minister about the losses incured by poultry industry during the lockdown.  The representatives associated with rice bran oil production said that rice bran oil of the best quality is made in Chhattisgarh, it can be given international recognition with the cooperation of the government.

     The delegation congratulated Chief Minister Mr. Baghel by presenting him a memento on getting second place in CM ranking. Mr. Baghel assured the delegation to consider sympathetically the various demands of the delegation. On this occasion, Representatives from various industrial organizations were present, including Mr. K.K. Jha of Chhattisgarh Small and Ancillary Industries Association, Shri Arvinder Singh Khurana of BSP Ancillary Industries Association Bhilai, Mr. Ravi Gupta of Borai Industries Association Rasmara Durg, Mr. Anil Aggarwal of Sponge Iron Manufacturing Association Bhilai and Mr. Bahadur Ali.
