Rohit Sharma becomes the batsman with most sixes in T20 International cricket

New Delhi(thestates.news)| : Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has now become the batsman to hit the most sixes in the history of T20 International cricket. Rohit achieved this feat during the second T20 match against Australia in Nagpur on Friday. Rohit Sharma played brilliant innings of 46 not out in 20 balls in this match, during which he hit four fours and four sixes. Thanks to his innings, India won the match by 6 wickets. Now Rohit has a total of 176 sixes in T20 cricket. Second-ranked New Zealand opener Martin Guptill has 172 sixes to his name.

West Indies legend Chris Gayle is at number three in this list with 124 sixes. At number four, is former England captain Eoin Morgan, who has 120 sixes to his name, while Australian legend Aaron Finch is at fifth position with 119 sixes. Rohit has scored 3,677 runs in 130 innings of 138 matches in T20 International cricket at an average of 32.53 with four centuries and 28 half-centuries. Out of these 3,677 runs, 1,056 runs came with the help of sixes. That is, 28.71 per cent of Rohit’s runs have been scored with only sixes.

Talking about the match, due to rain, this match was reduced to 8-8 overs. Batting first in this match, Australia scored 90 runs for 5 wickets. Captain Aaron Finch scored 31 and Matthew Wade scored 43 not out for Australia. For India, Axar Patel took two wickets and Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket. In reply, India won by scoring 92 for 4 in 7.2 overs.
