A solar pump is being installed in the fields of hundreds of farmers in the area to irrigate them. The farmers’ financial situation has been better since solar pumps were installed in these distant forest areas. The Saur Sujala Yojana has been effective in giving farmers greater autonomy. Farmers can now cultivate maize, vegetables, and other crops due to the installation of solar pumps, which has doubled both the district’s irrigated fields and their source of income. Under this scheme, the state government aims to strengthen agriculture and rural areas in Chhattisgarh by providing irrigation pumps to farmers at a subsidized rate.
