School children of Tarda went on an educational tour of RIPA and Gauthan

Raigarh,(thestates.news)| Under the guidance of the District Project Office of Samagra Shiksha, students from Government Primary School Tarda in the Pussore development block visited the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA), located in the village Tarda. The Head Master, along with the Nodal Officer of RIPA, provided detailed information about the works conducted in RIPA, its purpose, and the activities performed at the RIPA Center. During the educational tour to RIPA, the children understood various activities that include, sewing with an electric machine, lathe and hardware welding, weaving of Sambalpuri cloth, mushroom production, Jhara Shilp (Bell Metal), the Public Service Center, Photography and Videography Center and learned about their functions. They also enjoyed their favourite snacks bought from the RIPA canteen. These educational trips enable children to interact and learn from each other while providing information on how the rural economy is being strengthened through RIPA.

It is worth mentioning that this excursion program was organized according to NEP 2020, keeping in mind the purpose of experiential learning and preparing children by connecting knowledge with the external environment. The program aimed to acquaint children with the government’s important schemes like Narva, Garva, Ghurva, and Bari. Upon learning about the tour program, Block Education Officer Mr. Dinesh Patel expressed his delight and encouraged educational institutions to take children to educational, historical, and informative places located near their schools. On the occasion of this educational excursion program, Mr. Niranjan Patel, former Sarpanch, President of Gauthan Committee, Mr. Ruplal, Nodal Officer of RIPA Tarda, Mr. Hrishikesh Patel, NRLM Janpad Panchayat Pusaur, Janki Sahu, and Bela Chauhan, Organizer of Bihan Project, Rudra Sharma, Head Master of the school, and all teachers of Government Primary School Tarda were present.
