Chhattisgarh team secures runner-up spot in Junior Softball Competition
Raipur (thestates.news) | Softball players Saket Banjare and Chandrahas Yadav met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the Assembly premises today. Saket had represented Chhattisgarh in the boys’ category of the Junior Softball Competition held in Patna, Bihar, where the team secured the runner-up position. Chief Minister Shri Sai lauded their performance and offered words of encouragement.
Expressing his pride, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated “The commendable performance of your team has not only brought glory to Chhattisgarh but also serves as an inspiration for other players. I extend my best wishes to both of you for your future endeavours in competitions.”
The 41st Junior National Softball Championship, which took place in Patna, Bihar from February 21 to February 25, witnessed an outstanding performance by Chhattisgarh’s Boys team. They maintained an undefeated streak until reaching the finals, defeating teams from Delhi, Gujarat, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Punjab, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh along the way.
