Approval of revised rates continues
Raipur (The States. news) State government has issued orders to approve dearness relief to the pensioners / family pensioners of the state according to the revised rates. According to the order issued by the Ministry of Finance, the dearness relief has been increased by five percent of the basic pension / family pension of the seventh pay scale payable from October 1, 2021. After the increase, the dearness relief will be 17 percent. Similarly, dearness relief has been increased by ten percent of basic pension / family pension of the sixth pay scale payable from October 1, 2021. After the increase, the dearness relief will be 164 percent.
This dearness relief will be payable on superannuation/retirement/incapacity and compensation pension. This dearness relief will also be given on the compassionate allowance sanctioned to the removed employees. In such cases where the pensioner / family pensioner is appointed / re-employed in the State Government or any self-governing institution, it will not be eligible for dearness relief on pension. If a person is in service at the time of the death of the spouse and has not been placed in service on compassionate grounds, he/she will be entitled to dearness relief on the family pension payable on account of the death of the spouse. If a person is placed in service on compassionate grounds due to the death of his/her spouse, dearness relief on family pension will not be eligible in such cases. Such pensioners who have commuted a part of their pension will be given dearness relief on their basic pension.
