Target set to provide financial aid for marriage of seven and a half thousand girls under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana

Budget for the scheme has been doubled, Rs 38 crore allocated

An amount of Rs 50 thousand will be spent on marriage of each daughter of poor family

On the occasion of marriage, the beneficiary bride will get a draft of Rs 21 thousand and gifts worth Rs 15 thousand

Raipur (thestates.news) |On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the amount of aid under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana has been increased to Rs 50 thousand. On the occasion of marriage, an amount of Rs 21 thousand will be provided to each of the beneficiary as bank draft, along with the gifts worth Rs 15,000. In the current financial year, a target has been set to organize marriage ceremony for three thousand girls from poor families in the first half and 07 thousand 500 girls on an annual basis. This target has been set with the noble aim to realizing the dream of many poor families to get their daughters married respectably.
