Raipur (thestates.news) |‘Sanjh…Ek Sham’, mesmerizing program organised by the Culture Department on Sunday, dedicated a platform to transgenders to showcase their talents. The transgender artists who participated in the program captivated people’s hearts with their mesmerising performances. The group showcased entertaining renditions of Chhattisgarhi, Hindi, and classical songs, earning admiration from the audience. Their remarkable talent earned applause and appreciation and marked a memorable and inclusive experience for all audiences.

The program to showcase the remarkable talents of the transgender community was initiated by Mr. Vivek Acharya, the Director of the Culture Department, from the previous year. Transgender people are gaining national recognition through this program. Former mayor of Raigarh, Madhu Bai, an esteemed figure from the transgender group, graced the event as the chief guest. Mr.Vivek Acharya, Director of the Culture Department, presided over the program. Vidya Rajput extended gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Culture Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat for providing a platform, through ‘Sanjh…Ek Sham’, to showcase transgender artistic skills to the audiences.

At the program, the transgenders captivated people’s hearts with their mesmerising performances. The event commenced with an invocation to Maa Kali performed by the artists of Pratima Group from Janjgir Champa. The Swaragini Group enthralled the audience with their dynamic renditions of Suageet, Karma Geet, Dadariya, and Holi songs, compelling everyone to dance along. A captivating Kathak performance, including a presentation of Shiv Vandana, was presented by Mr. Yuvraj Bagh and his group from Raipur. Their mastery over the distinctive style of Kathak Tihai, Paran, and Thumri won the hearts of the audience.

Durg’s Kanta Eli Mahanand graced the stage with a classical dance performance, enchanting the audience. The captivating saga of the transgender community came to life through a captivating musical presentation by the Pratima Dance Group. A.I.G. Mr. Sanjay Singh, Joint Director of Public Relations Department Mr. Alok Dev, Joint Director of Social Welfare Department Mr.Nadeem Kazi, Deputy Director of Culture Department Mr. Umesh Mishra, Chairman of Adivasi Kala Parishad Mr. Naval Shukla, Vidya Rajput, senior photographer Deependra Dewan, and other dignitaries were present.
