Titles – “Innovate Code: Two-Day Hands-On Training in Python, Robotics, and Coding Essentials

Raipur (thestates.news) | The IEEE Kalinga University Student Branch, in collaboration with BDS Education, successfully organized a Two-Day Hands-on Training Program on Python, Coding & Robotics at SJM Institute of Technology, Chitradurga, Karnataka, offering an innovative platform for students to dive into the world of programming and robotics. This event stood out as an exciting mix of learning, collaboration, and creativity, attracting tech enthusiasts and innovators alike.

The sessions were conducted by the esteemed Dr. Bharat P B, Principal, SJMIT, Col. N.C. Gupta, Director, BDS Education, Dr. Vijayalaxmi, Director of IQAC at Kalinga University, Naya Raipur (C.G.), Dr. Rajesh A M, IQAC Coordinator, SJMIT and Dr. Siddesh K B, HOD, ECE Department, SJMIT. The workshop covered a wide range of engaging and hands-on topics, including:

Introduction to Block-based Coding, MIT App Inventor, Robotics with Codey Rocky mBot, Transitioning from Scratch to Python, Fundamentals of Python, Exploration of Basic Python Projects, Migration from Scratch to Arduino, Tinkering with Arduino, Demonstration of Scratch-based Projects, including programming mBot for various applications, Correlating Arduino Sketches with mBlock, Introduction to HaloCode, Programming HaloCode for different applications, Linking Codey Rocky with HaloCode, Introduction to CyberPi, Programming CyberPi for different applications, Linking Codey Rocky with CyberPi, Integrating CyberPi and HaloCode.

A total of 70 enthusiastic students, organized into 10 groups from various universities, participated in this transformative learning experience. The group-based format fostered collaboration, teamwork, and peer learning. Through hands-on activities, participants deepened their understanding of Python programming and robotics while also unleashing their creativity and innovation. The event concluded with a celebratory certificate distribution ceremony, where special recognition was awarded to teams that demonstrated exceptional creativity and ingenuity.

This engaging initiative not only empowered students with technical expertise but also ignited a passion for problem-solving and innovation. It demonstrated the potential of coding and robotics to transform ideas into reality, leaving participants inspired and eager to explore the endless possibilities in technology.
