Two-weeks faculty development program at Kalinga University Completed Successfully

Kalinga University conducted two-week faculty development program from 14 th -27 th June. As the part of two-week FDP a field visit was also organized on 25 th June 2022 to Sirpur, Chhattisgarh, which helped in generating team spirit and bonding in the participants of FPD. The last day FDP commenced on 27th June 2022 at 10 am at the Kalinga University Campus.
The session commenced with the welcome address delivered by the Dean, Faculty of Science Dr. Chandra Kant Sharma and Dr. Sandeep Kumar Tiwari, Principal, Pharmacy. The last day made an energetic start with an extremely illuminating first session conducted by Dr. L.V.K.S Bhaskar, Dean school of studies in life sciences, Guru Ghasidas University, Chhattisgarh. The session dealt with the theme of ‘’Recent Advancement In Cell Biology ” He delivered a valuable lecture about diagnosis and advance treatments of sickle cell anaemia and research opportunities in Chhattisgarh.

In the second session of Day 14 of the FDP lecture was delivered by Dr. Amber Vyas, Assistant Professor, Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. Dr. Vyas spoke on current science and nanomedicine research. He gave a deep insight knowledge packed information on ‘’ Current grant opportunities for faculty members and researchers”. Third and the last session was delivered by Dr. Dilip Kumar Bishi, Assistant Professor, Rama Devi Woman University, Bhubneshwar, Odisha on “Tissue engineering and nanobiotechnology approach for cancer therapy”. Dr. Bishi talked about various cell lines their use and how to maintain them in different conditions. The valedictory ceremony ended up by thanks giving note from Dean, Faculty of Science,
Dr. Chandra Kant Sharma. He shared his experience about this FDP and said that during the two weeks the sessions were extremely informative and gathered a positive review from the participants. This kind of event was interactive and beneficial to all participants. The FDP came to a conclusion with an interactive session, where the participants interacted with the
resource person and they thoroughly solved the queries. With his vote of thanks to management, program organisers, guest speakers, faculty members and technical team concluded the session.
