Uddhav Thackeray departs for Jalna

Chhatrapati Sambhaijnagar,(thestates.news)| Former Maharashtra chief minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday left for Jalna district from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in a private car to meet Maratha protesters in Antarwali Sarati village of the district. Thackeray arrived at Chikalthana airport here on a brief visit at around 1930 hours. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, Leader of Opposition in state Legislative Council Ambadas Danve, former chief minister and Congress leader Ashok Chavan, senior Shiv Sena leader Chandrakant Khaire have left with him, said party sources.
Protesters who were demanding reservation for the Maratha community at Antarwali Sarati village in Ambad taluka of the district were injured in incident of lathi-charge by police on Friday. The Shiv Sena leader will meet the protesters and the villagers and interact with them. Then, he will meet the injured protesters at the government hospital in Ambad. After that, he will return to Chikalthana airport here and will leave for Mumbai, they added.(UNI)
